Get acquainted with our history
We were first formed in 1991 at First Baptist Church of Yucaipa under the leadership of Sensei Manual Corona and Sensei John Moore.
Learn the basics
Stances, Blocks, Punches, Strikes, and Kicks.
While we do spend class time teaching these techniques, having an understanding of the foundational aspects of karate enables you to make much quicker progress.
Goals
The primary goal of ACKA is to teach a firm basis of who the Lord Jesus is, to offer a plan of Salvation to the unsaved and to further one’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The second goal is to offer Christ-centered Martial Arts Schools that teach students self-control, character-building, discipline and Bible memorization.
The other goals include teaching students self defense and when to use it, as well as a way to stay physically fit.
ACKA also wishes to teach students to take an active part in Church Ministry and Community Outreach Programs such as Church work days and special projects.
ACKA offers Martial Art Demonstrations and Self-Defense Seminars to Church and Community Groups. Expressed in the Demonstrations and Seminars will be ACKA’s belief in the Word of God and His Plan of Salvation.
From the Board
As Instructors, we look forward to growing in our Lord Jesus, and in the art of Karate, with you. Always remember that ACKA is a team effort. It takes all of us working together to make this an effective Outreach Ministry to our Community and surrounding areas.
Being a team means that no one in ACKA is in competition. We are all here to encourage one another. When one person grows in his or her relationship with Jesus Christ, gains a new rank, or wins in a Kata or Kumite Tournament, we all benefit.
In His service,
ACKA Board
